You met me at a very Austrian time in my life
On 4. September 2026, I arrived in Austria with lots of dreams and a terrible stomach ache from eating horrendous airplane food. Although I faced a few issues with my accommodation at first, I'm more than happy to share that I'm loving this country so far. Coming from India, the standard of living here is, dare I say, top-notch. It saddens me that many people back home would call this a luxury, whereas it's rather common here.
I made a few friends here, mostly malayalis (obviously), but I take every opportunity that I'm presented with to indulge myself in other cultures. It's been 17 days since I've arrived, and I feel like I've lived here most of my life.
The harsh reality of Austrian winters has not struck me yet, and I'd rather leave some space for minor disappointments as days progress.
I wish to write more often as I need an outlet to express myself and to reflect on myself, as I've felt like I lose a piece of myself whenever I move to a different community.
Well, stay on the radar, my friend. If you are reading this and live in Austria, then send a mail. Let's get in touch :)
